Projects > Deconstructing Reality

Objective Reality vs. Subjective Reality.
Reality used to feel like a tapestry. A story woven over time that lays out before you, weaving new stories as you move through life. For miles, as far as the eye can see, there is a grounded sense that no matter where you step your foot, there will be something familiar to step on.
Then sometime while I was sleeping, the floor dropped out, and reality became a freefall. Now I witness pockets of osolated reality. Individual chambers full of stories, all valid, and all new. Is this a sixth or seventh sense humanity is developing, this ability to perceive different realities? Cloth holds all the memories. In this project, I am using old clothing and linens to illustrate the beautiful tension in this process of breakdown and transformation. Can I weave new dreams and realities while preserving the sacred stories of the past?
