Projects > Mend + Alter + Make New

What started as a deep dive into the challenges of making desirable garments from textile scrap destined for the landfill, turned into a rewarding and beautiful community project partnered with St. Luke's Hospice (charity shops) in Plymouyh Devon UK. I developed a sorting and training protocol at the warehouse facility that enabled volunteers and staff to differentiate between various types of textiles and their scaled worth for resale, repurposing, or recycling. There was a final collection of garments that were used in multiple public spaces for educational purposes.
